Itinerary in detail

The Persian culture, history and warm people have been irresistible draws to travelers from all over the world. However, covered from the world for the past 2 decades, it's now opening its doors to all of those who can not afford to miss Iran, the cradle of civilization. Be a pioneer to visit this fast growing tourist destination.
Let us take you on a journey back in time to a mixture of ancient sites and samples of Islamic arts and architecture, spiced with the rich culture of Iranian hospitality.
 
Day 1. Arriving in Tehran Airport, you are welcomed and assisted by our representative and will be transferred to your hotel. The morning is at your leisure to relax. We get more familiar with the Iranian history by visiting the valuable archeological collections at the National Museum in the afternoon. In the evening we fly to Kerman.  O/N KERMAN  
  Day 2. We go for an afternoon tour of the city visiting the Friday mosque, Ganj Ali Khan Public bath and traditional tea house and Kerman traditional bazaar. We also go on an excursion to visit Shah Nematollah-e-Vali mausoleum and monastery and the beautiful Shazdeh (Prince) Garden in Mahan. If we have time we can also visit the mud brick citadel of Rayn. (After the impressive earthquake in Bam, this has replaced Bam fantastic Citadel in tourist itineraries)  O/N KERMAN

Day 3.
In the afternoon we drive to Yazd (360 km.) which is  described by Marco Polo as a noble city through a scenic desert road.  O/N YAZD

Day 4.  Today we have a city tour of Yazd visiting the Friday mosque, Amir Chakhmagh Mosque and theater, Dolatabad garden and wind trappers, the oldest burning fire in Iran at the Zoroastrian Fire temple  and the tower of silence. O/N YAZD
 
 
 

Day 5. Today we drive to Shiraz (450 km.) and will have a stop in Abarkooh, visiting its famous old cypress tree , old cistern and caravanserai, before getting to the city of roses and nightingles, Shiraz. O/N SHIRAZ

Day 6. After breakfast we start our city tour of Shiraz. We will start by Karmikhani complex, the residential palace of Zand dynasty. Karim Khan Zand, the founder of Zand dynasty choose Shiraz as his capital and declared himself as “Vakil”, the lawyer of the nation, rather than king. We continue Vakil complex comprising of Vakil Mosque, Bazar and public bath remaining from his reign. We also visit the colorful Nasirolmolk mosque. After Lunch we continue our tour by visiting the beautiful gardens of Eram, the tombs of famous poets, Hafez and Saadi and finally Quran Gate.

Day 7. This morning we leave Shiraz for Isfahan and will visit en-route the most magnificent city of the ancient world, Persepolis, which is now registered as a UNESCO world heritage site. Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Persian Empire during Achemaenian era. The site, 125,000 sq.m. in area is composed of various reception halls and palaces, private palaces, royal treasury and fortifications.  where we find the tomb of Cyrus the great and remains of Achaemenian palaces and edifices. We continue our trip by visiting Naghsh-e-Rostam, the Achaemenian royal necropolis and Pasargadae  where we find the tomb of Cyrus the great and remains of Achaemenian palaces and edifices. We will also stop to visit nomads in their tents. We stay the night at our hotel in Isfahan.
O/N ISFAHAN
 
 
  Day 8. After breakfast, we start our full-day tour of Isfahan at the UNESCO world heritage site of Naghsh-e-Jahan Sq., once a royal polo court, this site has been the official center of the city, when the city was the Safavid Capital (17th Century). We visit the famous Imam Mosque (Royal Mosque), located the southern side of the square with wonderful architecture and tile-work. We then visit the multi story Aliqapu Palace, stood on the western side of the square, from which the Safavid kings used to view the polo games and ceremonies. Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque (or Ladies Mosque) is located on the opposite side of the square and is visited next. We will stroll through the traditional bazaar surrounding the square, before we gather again for the lunch. The bazaar which goes deep to the north is known traditionally as Qeysarieh bazaar. After Lunch we continue our tour by visiting the Friday Mosque followed by Chehelsotun (forty columns) palace. We wil then head to the banks of Zayanderud river, the soul of the city. There are several historical bridges over this river, erected during the Safavid era (17th Century). Siosepol (33-arch) and khaju bridges are the most famous ones. We enjoy visiting these two interesting bridges, drinking tea at the tea house below the bridge, walking along the river bank or paddle on a boat from one to the other. We can return back to the hotel or enjoy this pleasant environment for more time. O/N ISFAHAN
Day 9. We will drive to Tehran today (total 425 km.) , enroute in Kashaan we visit a beautiful sample of Iranian historical gardens, Fin Garden. We also visit genuine samples of Iranian traditional desert architecture at a number of historical houses in the city, now open to visitors. We  have some more time for strolling in this traditionally well preserved city. In addition to its beautiful traditional environment there is a beautiful bazaar and a number of interesting mosques to visit. We will have a short stop in the religious city of Qom which is considered as one of the most important theological academic centers and hosts the holy shrine of Hazrat-e-Masoumeh, one of the holy Shi'ite ladies. We have to drive 130 more km. for getting to Tehran. O/N TEHRAN  
  Day 10. We go on a full-day tour of the capital, Tehran. First, we will  have a walking tour through old Tehran and will visit the old Gate of Tehran, Golestan Palaces, Imam (former Royal) Mosque and the Grand Bazaar which is a large roofed old shopping complex. After Lunch we will visit the unique jewelry collection at the National Treasury. We will then get more familiar with Persian Carpets at the Carpet Museum and will have a visit to Saadabad Palace. Before returning back to the hotel, we will stop in Darband, an oasis of rest in Tehran, for drinking a cup of tea and a deep breather of fresh air. O/N TERHAN

Day 11. Today morning is free for rest, personal planned sightseeing, taking optional tours, shopping or joining tour extensions. This evening we may attend a Persian night at a  traditional restaurant where we have our Iranian dinner while enjoying Persian live local music. O/N TERHAN
